The Genesee Country Village & Museum is pleased to offer a new dining experience: Luncheon select Sundays in the recently restored Livingston-Backus Garden House, originally built c. 1827.
Dine on a historically inspired menu of sandwiches, fresh fruit, and ice-cold tea and lemonade as you take in the beautiful view of the Livingston-Backus garden. Chat with friends and allow our costumed staff to serve you, keeping your glasses and plates full of delicious beverages, savory sandwiches and tasty selections from our own D. B. Munger Confectionery. Sit back and unwind with a glass of wine or champagne (for an additional fee) and enjoy a slower pace dining in the garden.
Our menu may include:
Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Lemonade
Seasonal sandwiches with a variety of meat, cheese, and bread combinations
Cream cheese and chutney sandwiches
Minty potato salad
A selection of tea cakes from the museum’s D. B. Munger Confectionery
For an additional fee, guests may purchase Hosmer’s Winery award-winning Riesling ($24 per bottle) to accompany their luncheon.
Make your experience a celebration with champagne! We have carefully selected Piper Sonoma’s Brut champagne with undertones of roses and apples to complement our luncheon treats. ($28 per bottle)
