Planning Your Visit Young Boy

The historic village and art gallery are open for school field trips from May through October. The nature center is open year round. For exact dates, please call (585) 538-6822 ext. 218. You may schedule your visit for any day, Tuesdays through Fridays. To take advantage of the many educational opportunities available and to make the most of your field trip, we suggest the following:

  • Make your reservations at least five weeks in advance of your visit. School tours are quite popular and space is limited.
  • We welcome groups of any size. We recommend one chaperone or teacher for every five students.
  • Plan your visit carefully, deciding in advance the purpose of your visit, buildings you'd like to tour and in which additional activities you'd like to participate. Our staff will be happy to assist you.
  • Consider using the museum's outreach program, the Movable Museum, before or after your field trip to complement a unit of study.
  • Indicate any special needs when making your reservation.
  • Payment must be made at the time of your visit. We accept checks, money orders or purchase orders.
  • If you need to cancel your visit, please let us know as soon as possible by calling (585) 538-6822 ext. 218. This helps us accommodate the preferences of other groups.
  • Admission fee applies to all students, including Genesee Country Village & Museum members.
