Saturday, July 12 6-9 p.m. There's nothing like the enjoyment of excellent food, delightful music and a fine glass of wine as the sun sets on a warm summer's evening.
Set against the backdrop of a 19th-century village, Genesee Country Village & Museum and Hillside Children's Center have united to present a new and exciting contemporary experience: A Midsummer Festival: Wine, Food & Music. This adult-only event will be held in museum's historic village from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 12.
While horse-drawn carriages clatter along streets, guests will stroll among the villagers in costume, sampling local wines, beer, fabulous food and desserts, all to the contemporary music of The Rochester Rat Pack and the smooth jazz sounds of Jimmie Highsmith, Jr. and his trio.
The event supports two great charitable organizations--Genesee Country Village & Museum and Hillside Children's Center-and is sponsored by Key Bank; Printing Methods, Inc.; MCE Solutions; Johnson Controls Systems; A. Thomas Hildebrandt; and Reed's Jewelers. Tickets, which are all inclusive, are $30 and are available at the museum and at all Wegmans' That's T.H.E. Ticket locations. Reservations are recommended.
Call 585-538-6822, ext. 219 or e-mail: mbaldeck@gcv.org. Beverages and food are supplied by local caterers, restaurants and food produced by local companies. Event map. |
