Visit the pioneer farm to learn about what life was like for a child living on a farm in the early 19th century. Feed the chickens, collect the eggs and help with other farm chores. Create a craft that helps to enhance the lesson. Girls will be loaned a 19th century costume at the start of the program.

Learn about the young girl's life in the 19th century through games and hands-on activities. the exploration may include; a lesson at the school house, a visit to the pioneer farm, time at an elegant home and an activity with a museum crafts person. Girls will be loaned a 19th century costume at the start of the program.

Genesee Country Village & Museum is home to over a dozen heirloom gardens! Take a tour of a selection of the beautiful gardens. Learn how the Shakers grew herbs to make medicinal remedies. Make a tussie-mussie with a secret message. Help create a homemade herbal hand salve to take home. Girls will be loaned a 19th century costume at the start of the program.
Fee includes costume rental and an exclusive Flowers patch for each girl!

Bring your troop or gather several troops together for this fun overnight! Start of with a guided hike either on the Nature Center trails or through the historic village-after hours. Then spend time around the campfire and have an evening snack. Later, enjoy playing 19th century games. Discover what they did in the parlor in the days before television and video games! In morning, wake up to a continental breakfast we provide for you. Scouts can choose to sleep in the museum's Nature Center building or bring tents to overnight in the great outdoors. We encourage small troops to invite another groups to share in your overnight experience to make it cost effective. Maximum group size of 40 (scouts and adults).

Civil War Encampment Overnight
Spend the night at the museum’s Civil War encampment. Participate in a military drill, enjoy a campfire and take an evening lantern lit walk through the historic village "after hours". Participants will sleep in Civil War era tents. Evening snack and a continental breakfast provided. We strongly encourage small groups to invite another group to share in your overnight experience to make it cost effective. Maximum group size of 40 (scouts and adults).

The fees listed for the aforementioned programs do not include admission to the historic village or art gallery. If you wish to spend time in the village before or after your paid scouting program we will be pleased to offer all participants in your group our Group Rate for Scouts. The price is $11/adults and $7/youth.
